Winter is among us.

Finally we are getting into the world of blogger.

We are only about three hours away from Washington but it seems to

be so remote, and we have so much to share

Our place, our food , our area.

First, most of the City people do not think of Garrett county being part of Maryland

we are at the tip of Maryland border, just minutes away from wild West Virginia

or historic Pennsylvania. We are the " Best Well kept Secret of Maryland "

Many years ago ( over hundred) in summer, people were coming from Washington,

Pittsburgh, Baltimore, to get away from the heat, the humidity, the insects.

Here summers are cool and almost bugs free.
